Snapchat expanded ‘Our story’ content to media partners
Snapchat, one of the multimedia messaging app mainly popular for snap chatting expanded “our story” content to their media partners to enable crowd-source images for their own snap stories. Originally this app was evolved on focusing person-to-person photo sharing, but now it has the feature ‘Stories’ for showing 24-hour consecutive content. ‘Our story’ is actually a collection of snaps in its taken order and formerly only snapchat created story from the publically submitted snaps, but now around 20 media partners can also use these contents including CNN, NBC News etc. Snapchat expects Our Stories to live outside the app.
Our story contents are usually submitted by snapchatters all around the world from their point of interest like events, place, hobbies etc and it’s a new form of public storytelling as snaps or videos to watch for the rest of community on snapchat. This feature is very useful for the media partners to create their news on major events using personal snaps and videos from the eye witnessed Snapchatters. This extension of our story feature forces the snapchat users to be more careful while posting their snaps.
